Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s much-awaited film Game Changer hit theatres on January 10, 2025, marking one of the first major releases of the year. With high expectations surrounding the film, it had a lot to live up to, especially given the star power of its leads and the direction by renowned filmmaker Shankar.

However, despite the anticipation, Game Changer opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. While the film has garnered attention for its engaging moments, it has faced criticism in certain areas, impacting its overall reception.

Game Changer Box Office Update: Film Crosses ₹110 Crore Despite Decline in Collections

Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, has now crossed the ₹110 crore mark at the box office, with its total collections standing at ₹112.26 crore as of Day 6. Despite a solid opening, the film has experienced a decline in its collections, particularly in the weekdays, reflecting a mixed audience response and stiff competition from other releases.

The film opened strongly with ₹51 crore on its first day but saw a significant drop on its second day, earning ₹21.6 crore. Day three collections were at ₹15.9 crore, and Day four brought in ₹7.65 crore. On its first Wednesday, Game Changer earned ₹5.55 crore, marking its lowest collections so far. While the film saw a slight recovery on its fifth day with ₹10 crore net, the overall performance in the weekdays has been sluggish.

Game Changer is facing stiff competition from multiple high-profile releases such as Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj, Unni Mukundan’s Marco, and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. The competition has likely contributed to the drop in box office performance as moviegoers have several options to choose from.

Piracy Concerns Surround Game Changer: Producer Demands Strict Action After Pirated Version Leaked

Amidst ongoing box office concerns, Game Changer has faced another setback with the alleged airing of a pirated version of the film on a local TV channel and in buses. Screenshots of this unauthorized broadcast quickly spread on social media platform X, grabbing the attention of the film’s producer, Sreenivas Kumar. The producer took to his official X account, demanding immediate and strict action against those responsible for the piracy.

This piracy incident comes shortly after the makers of Game Changer filed a formal complaint against individuals for allegedly leaking a pirated version of the film online. The complaint also highlighted that prior to the film’s release, the producers and several team members had been threatened via social media and messaging platforms like WhatsApp. The alleged pirates reportedly demanded money from the producers, threatening to leak the pirated version of the film if their demands were not met.

Directed by Shankar, Game Changer stars Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, and SJ Suryah. The film has been released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Despite facing piracy challenges and a mixed box office performance, the film’s team is determined to take strict legal action to protect their intellectual property and maintain the integrity of the film’s theatrical release.
