Nollywood actress Shan George has expressed her unwavering admiration for Afrobeats icon Davido, sharing the reasons why she will always remain a loyal fan. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Shan highlighted three pivotal moments that solidified her support for the artist, despite the ongoing drama surrounding Davido’s friend, Cubana Chief Priest, and his rivalry with Burna Boy.
Shan began by recalling the early days of Davido’s career, long before he became an international sensation. She reminisced about the time when the singer released his debut album and personally went around, handing out copies to his fans. Despite knowing that Davido came from a wealthy family, it was his humility and down-to-earth nature that deeply resonated with Shan. She admired how he remained grounded and connected with his audience, an attitude that made her even more drawn to him.
For Shan, Davido’s approachability and genuine spirit stood out, and it was these qualities that solidified her admiration for the artist. She noted that despite his fame and success, Davido never lost touch with the people who supported him from the start. His authenticity was one of the main reasons she continues to be a lifelong fan, and she shared this sentiment with her followers, reinforcing her loyalty to the artist.
In her post, Shan also made it clear that her admiration for Davido is unaffected by the external noise in the entertainment industry, emphasizing that her respect for him is rooted in his character and his musical journey.
Shan George’s second reason for her lifelong admiration of Davido stems from a personal encounter she had with the singer. She shared a story of a flight where she approached Davido and asked for a photo. Without hesitation, the Afrobeats superstar smiled and graciously agreed, showcasing his kind and approachable nature. Shan mentioned that the photo taken during that moment is available online, serving as proof of Davido’s friendly and down-to-earth demeanor, reinforcing her admiration for him.
In addition to these personal moments, Shan also highlighted her long-standing relationships with respected figures in the entertainment industry, such as Special Spesh and Ubi Franklin. She spoke highly of their work ethic and reliability, emphasizing that both are hardworking and dependable individuals. Shan firmly believes that these industry veterans would not associate with Davido if he were not a good person, further solidifying her admiration for the artist’s character.
Through these personal experiences and connections, Shan George affirmed her unwavering support for Davido, underscoring that her admiration goes beyond his musical talent and extends to the qualities that make him a respectable and admirable person.
