Singh’s statement came after the Delhi Police investigation into the threats revealed that the suspect was a juvenile. He expressed concern that the BJP was using the situation to target the Aam Aadmi Party instead of focusing on resolving the issue.

Singh emphasized that the matter was a serious concern for the safety and security of students, and it should be handled with sensitivity, without turning it into a political issue. He questioned the BJP’s motives and stressed that the real focus should be on ensuring the safety of children and preventing such incidents in the future.

This statement follows the BJP’s increased criticism of the AAP, especially after Delhi Police made the juvenile arrest in connection with the bomb threats. Singh further questioned why no investigation had been conducted for months, but just 15 days before the elections, BJP was suddenly bringing up these issues, implying a political motive behind the timing of the revelations.

The AAP MP emphasized that the BJP was attempting to manipulate the situation for political gain, especially as the elections were approaching, and accused them of trying to divert attention from more pressing concerns.

Singh criticized Trivedi, questioning the accuracy of his statements and suggesting that the Delhi Police Commissioner had been revealing details that were not even known to the police. Singh remarked, “Few hours back, you must have watched the press conference of Delhi Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Trivedi. He has been appointed as Delhi Police Commissioner and he is disclosing new things every day. The things that are not even known by the police.”

Singh’s statement was aimed at pointing out the contradictions in Trivedi’s press conference and accusing the BJP of using law enforcement as a platform for political attacks. He implied that Trivedi’s disclosures were more about political rhetoric than factual developments in the investigation.

BJP’s Allegations Against AAP:

Earlier, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi had raised a series of allegations against the AAP, accusing the party of having deep connections with several “unwanted NGOs” involved in anti-national activities. Trivedi pointed to the hanging of Afzal Guru and the infamous “Tukde-Tukde” slogans raised in February 2015 as part of his argument, questioning the AAP’s ties to such organizations. He also claimed that AAP had suppressed the file related to Afzal Guru’s death anniversary for months, fueling further suspicion.

Trivedi went on to suggest that the involvement of certain NGOs in the recent bomb threat cases needed deeper investigation to uncover possible links with the AAP. He asked, “Now the question is getting deeper: who is that NGO, do they have any relation with Aam Aadmi Party?”

Sanjay Singh’s Counter-Argument:

In response, Singh dismissed these allegations as baseless, accusing the BJP of making sweeping and unfounded claims to discredit the AAP, particularly ahead of the upcoming elections. He stressed that the BJP’s attacks were an attempt to manipulate the narrative and distract from the real issues at hand.

Sudhanshu Trivedi’s Allegations Against AAP:

BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi, in a press statement, directly targeted AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, demanding clarity over the party’s alleged ties with individuals involved in the recent bomb threat case uncovered by Delhi Police. Trivedi, escalating the political rhetoric ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, said, “Kejriwalji keeps speaking rubbish every now and then, but today I want to ask him… what ties do you have with them?” His statement was aimed at pressuring Kejriwal to explain the AAP’s connections with the people allegedly linked to the threat case, fueling the ongoing political debate.

Trivedi’s remarks added to the ongoing controversy surrounding the investigation, which had earlier led to the identification of a juvenile suspect. Trivedi, expanding on his accusations, connected the current case with broader political and national security issues, referring to Afzal Guru’s hanging and the 2015 “Tukde-Tukde” slogans to imply that the AAP may be associated with anti-national elements.
