Rocky Mittal Refutes Rape Allegations, Calls FIR a “Political Scandal”

Former BJP publicity cell chairman Rocky Mittal, also known as Jai Bhagwan, along with Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, has denied the rape allegations filed against them by a Delhi-based woman. The accusations allege that the two men raped the woman in July 2023 at a hotel in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh.

Speaking to the media for the first time since the FIR was filed in December 2023, Mittal described the allegations as part of a “murky political scandal.” He claimed that the entire situation had been orchestrated by a group of people over the last five to six years, suggesting that there were hidden political motives behind the accusations.

Mittal further stated, “I have multiple phone call recordings related to this alleged crime,” and suggested that the woman should undergo a polygraph test to reveal the truth. He dismissed the woman’s claims, accusing her of “shedding crocodile tears.”

The Himachal Pradesh police are currently investigating the case, and both Mittal and Badoli have refuted the charges, calling them politically motivated and aiming to tarnish their reputations. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working to uncover the truth behind the accusations.

In a fresh statement regarding the rape allegations against him and Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, former BJP publicity cell chairman Rocky Mittal has claimed that the accusations are part of a political conspiracy aimed at damaging the reputations of BJP leaders. Mittal alleged that the woman who filed the case, along with her friend, had visited his home in Panchkula with the intention of meeting Badoli. He claimed to have at least eight phone call recordings proving the woman’s true intentions, which he says were to blackmail the BJP leaders.

Mittal further stated that a Sonipat-based politician is behind the entire incident, aiming to have Badoli removed from his position as BJP president. He called for the case to be handed over to the CBI to uncover the truth.

“The accusations are a result of the political muck being stirred,” Mittal said, adding that several people had been blackmailed using multiple CDs. According to Mittal, this situation is tied to infighting within the BJP, and he firmly rejected any personal involvement in the matter. “I should not be dragged into their own infighting,” he concluded.

Mittal’s statements suggest that the ongoing investigation, led by Himachal Pradesh police, could take a significant turn if the case is handed over to the CBI for further scrutiny.
