The police have booked the women under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges for assault and causing harm. A seven-month-old poodle named Dollar has reportedly lost vision in one of its eyes due to mistreatment and negligence at a pet boarding facility in Thane. The dog’s owners, Abhishek Kumar and his wife, entrusted their two pets to the facility while they traveled to the United Kingdom for work. Upon returning, they discovered that Dollar had suffered significant injury to its eye.

The owners have accused the facility’s staff of neglect and improper care, leading to the pet’s condition. However, the facility’s owner has denied the allegations, claiming that the pet’s injuries were not a result of any mistreatment. The case has raised concerns about the standard of care provided at such establishments, with the owners now seeking justice for their injured pet. Authorities are investigating the matter further.

Based on the complaint filed by the pet owners, an FIR has been registered at Vartak Nagar police station against the pet boarding facility under several sections. The charges include Section 325 (causing grievous hurt to an animal), Section 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The case has raised concerns about animal welfare, and authorities are investigating the matter further to determine the extent of the mistreatment and hold those responsible accountable.
