“Sankranthiki Vasthunam,” starring Venkatesh Daggubati, hit theatres on January 14 and quickly became a box-office sensation. In just four days, the action romantic comedy surpassed the ₹100 crore mark worldwide, a significant milestone for the film. To celebrate this success, the cast and crew gathered for a special party on Friday evening.
Among the attendees was Mahesh Babu, a close friend of Venkatesh Daggubati and his co-star from Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Mahesh, known for his continued support of the industry and his peers, joined the celebration to show his appreciation for the film’s success.
The film has garnered positive reviews, with its blend of action, romance, and comedy captivating audiences. The gathering marked a memorable evening of camaraderie and success, with the team excited about the film’s impressive box-office performance.
The event also saw several other industry personalities joining the celebration, highlighting the unity and support among the stars. Fans can expect more from the cast and crew as Sankranthiki Vasthunam continues its successful run in theatres.
On Friday, the official X account of the film’s production team, Shri Venkateshwara Creations, shared a series of pictures from the success meet of Sankranthiki Vasthunam. In the photos, Mahesh Babu was seen posing alongside the cast, including Venkatesh Daggubati, celebrating the film’s remarkable success. The images captured the camaraderie and excitement of the team as they marked the achievement of crossing the ₹100 crore milestone in just four days. The success meet showcased not only the film’s triumph but also the strong bond among the stars and the support they share for each other’s work.
In the pictures shared by Shri Venkateshwara Creations on their official X account, Mahesh Babu was spotted looking stylish in a black shirt paired with denim pants, accessorized with a red hat. The images captured him enjoying the success meet, posing alongside the cast of Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The caption read, “A blockbuster reunion of CHINNODU – PEDDODU😍🔥 From appreciating to celebrating #BlockbusterSankranthikiVasthunam together ❤️🔥 Candids of Superstar @UrstrulyMahesh with team #SankranthikiVasthunam from the success party❤️.” The post celebrated the camaraderie between Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh Daggubati, highlighting their long-standing friendship and support for each other.
Mahesh Babu had earlier shared his glowing review of Sankranthiki Vasthunam on his X account, expressing his admiration for the film and its performances. He wrote:
“Enjoyed watching #SankranthikiVasthunam, A proper festive film… @VenkyMama sir is just terrific👌👌👌So proud and happy for my director @AnilRavipudi for giving consecutive Blockbusters 👍👍👍@aishu_dil @Meenakshiioffl were superb in their characters. The kid ‘Bulli Raju’ knocked it right out of the park🤣🤣🤣 Congratulations to the entire cast and crew.”
Mahesh praised Venkatesh Daggubati for his stellar performance and commended director Anil Ravipudi for delivering another blockbuster. He also highlighted the contributions of Aishwarya Rajesh, Meenakshi, and the young actor portraying “Bulli Raju,” who, according to Mahesh, was exceptional in his role. The post was a heartfelt congratulations to the entire team behind the film.
On the work front, Mahesh Babu is gearing up for his highly anticipated role in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming action-adventure film, SSMB 29. The film, which is expected to be a thrilling action-adventure in the style of Indiana Jones, has already generated significant excitement. Priyanka Chopra is reportedly cast as the lead opposite Mahesh Babu in this epic venture.
The film was officially launched earlier this month in Hyderabad with a traditional pooja ceremony. However, the makers decided to keep Mahesh Babu’s look under wraps, not releasing any pictures from the event to maintain the element of surprise. Fans are eagerly awaiting more details about the project, which is expected to be a major blockbuster.
