Russia to Welcome Indians with Visa-Free Travel Starting 2025
Since August 2023, Indians can apply for e-visas to Russia, processed within four days.
Indians to Enjoy Visa-Free Travel to Russia by 2025
Indian citizens may soon be able to travel to Russia without a visa, with a new system expected to roll out in the spring of 2025. This development follows discussions between Russia and India in June 2024 regarding a bilateral agreement aimed at easing visa restrictions for travelers from both nations.
As part of these efforts, the two countries are working on implementing visa-free group tourist exchanges, which could significantly boost tourism and strengthen cultural and economic ties.
This comes after a recent initiative in August 2023, allowing Indian travelers to apply for e-visas to Russia, processed within just four days. The upcoming visa-free system further underscores the deepening partnership between India and Russia.
