Shreya Chaudhry, known for her role in Bandish Bandits, has always been open about her struggles with prioritizing her health. For years, the actor battled with weight issues and the challenges that came with them. However, her turning point came when she decided to take charge of her health.
In a recent post, Shreya revealed how her journey toward fitness began with inspiration from none other than Bollywood’s Hrithik Roshan. She credits his dedication to fitness as the driving force that motivated her to start her own transformation. “Watching Hrithik Roshan’s commitment to health and fitness really struck a chord with me. It made me realize how important it is to be disciplined and to invest in yourself, no matter what obstacles come your way,” she shared.
At just 19, Shreya faced another major health setback: a slipped disc. This not only affected her physically but also mentally. “The pain was excruciating, and I was unsure about how to recover, both physically and emotionally,” she said. But despite this setback, she never lost hope and pushed forward with a focus on holistic well-being.
Fast forward to 21, Shreya underwent a remarkable transformation, losing 30 kg in the process. It wasn’t just about the number on the scale for her. “I realized that weight loss was a result of a bigger picture—consistent exercise, proper nutrition, and a balanced lifestyle,” she explained.
Now, as she shares her story, Shreya hopes to inspire others who may be going through similar struggles. “It’s about being patient and consistent. Health isn’t just about losing weight; it’s about building strength, both physically and mentally. Don’t give up on yourself,” she encourages.

In her latest Instagram post, Bandish Bandits actor Shreya Chaudhry opened up about her personal struggle with weight and health. She confessed how, for the longest time, she neglected her body and didn’t prioritize her well-being. At the young age of 19, Shreya found herself facing significant weight gain and suffering from a slipped disc—an experience that served as her wake-up call.
“I stopped doing any physical activity,” Shreya wrote in her heartfelt post, describing the difficult period in her life. It was a turning point, and she realized she could no longer take herself for granted. With determination, she made the decision to take charge of her health, lose the extra weight, and transform her life. Shreya successfully shed 30 kg, a journey she describes as a mix of perseverance, patience, and self-love.
The actor further shared in her note that this was the first time she was opening up about her fitness struggles. “I felt empowered and safe to finally speak out,” she said. This vulnerability inspired her to share something she had kept private for a long time, with the hope of helping others feel empowered too.

During this time, I put on a lot of weight, which took a toll on my fitness and health,” she shared. The weight gain and lack of physical activity worsened her situation, leading to a slipped disc that became a major setback in her life. “What struck the final nail was me getting a slip disc at that young age! I was always ambitious and career-focused, but now, I had something that posed a major obstacle to chasing my dreams,” she confessed.
This period of struggle became a wake-up call for Shreya. “I couldn’t believe I had taken myself for granted,” she admitted. But instead of letting this challenge define her, Shreya decided to take control. By the time she turned 21, she had lost 30 kg and had become fitter than ever. Her transformation didn’t just affect her physical health; it also helped her recover from the slip disc without any relapse, allowing her to move freely and focus on her career.
“Life will always throw challenges at us; we just need to move on and stay focused,” Shreya wrote. Reflecting on her journey, she proudly stated, “I’m at my fittest best now. From being a girl who had a slipped disc, I can now box like a beast! I can dance, stand on my two legs for hours during shoots, and push my body to the extreme on sets whenever required.”
Shreya’s final message was powerful: “We have a gift called life, and we should try to live it fully.” Her story is an inspiring reminder that with determination and focus, one can overcome even the toughest challenges and embrace life to the fullest.
