“The victim, a vegetable vendor, and the accused, both neighbors, had a history of disputes over petty issues, leading to the attack.”

Thane police have registered a case against 10 women for allegedly attacking a man and his family following a dispute over their pet dog barking in the neighborhood. The incident occurred in a local residential area, where the two families, who have a history of petty disputes, were involved in a heated argument.

According to the police, the altercation began when the accused women became agitated over the barking of the victim’s pet dog, which they claimed was causing a disturbance. The argument escalated quickly, leading to the 10 women physically assaulting the victim and his family. The victims, a vegetable vendor and his relatives, were left injured after the attack.

The police have booked the women under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges for assault and causing harm. Authorities are investigating the ongoing conflict between the families and have assured that action will be taken against the accused as per the law. The incident highlights the growing tension over neighborhood disputes, with authorities urging residents to resolve conflicts peacefully.

The assault took place on Sunday in Kalyan, a district in Thane, where a vegetable vendor and his family were attacked by 10 women, who are their neighbors. According to a report by the news agency PTI, the dispute began over the victim’s pet dog barking, which had reportedly caused tension between the two families. The police confirmed that the families had a long-standing history of disagreements over trivial matters.

The altercation escalated into a violent attack, with the accused women allegedly assaulting the victim and his family. Authorities have registered a case against the women, and the investigation is ongoing. The incident highlights the ongoing neighborhood conflicts, with the police urging residents to seek peaceful solutions to their differences.

Police reported that the assault began after the pet dog of the vegetable vendor’s family started barking, which reportedly irritated the accused women in the locality. In retaliation, the women, along with a group of others, forcibly entered the vendor’s house and physically attacked him. The group also pelted stones and ransacked the house, causing further damage. The victim and his family members sustained injuries during the violent assault.

The vendor filed a formal complaint with the police on Monday, leading to the registration of an FIR against the 10 women and nine other individuals. The charges include violence, unlawful assembly, acts intended to cause harm, provoking unrest, and committing trespass with malicious intent. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident, with further legal action expected.

A seven-month-old poodle named Dollar has reportedly lost vision in one of its eyes due to mistreatment and negligence at a pet boarding facility in Thane. The dog’s owners, Abhishek Kumar and his wife, entrusted their two pets to the facility while they traveled to the United Kingdom for work. Upon returning, they discovered that Dollar had suffered significant injury to its eye.

The owners have accused the facility’s staff of neglect and improper care, leading to the pet’s condition. However, the facility’s owner has denied the allegations, claiming that the pet’s injuries were not a result of any mistreatment. The case has raised concerns about the standard of care provided at such establishments, with the owners now seeking justice for their injured pet. Authorities are investigating the matter further.

Based on the complaint filed by the pet owners, an FIR has been registered at Vartak Nagar police station against the pet boarding facility under several sections. The charges include Section 325 (causing grievous hurt to an animal), Section 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The case has raised concerns about animal welfare, and authorities are investigating the matter further to determine the extent of the mistreatment and hold those responsible accountable.

Dollar, the seven-month-old poodle, underwent surgery to remove its left eyeball due to severe swelling and hemorrhages caused by alleged mistreatment at a pet boarding facility in Thane. The incident has left the pet’s owners, Abhishek Kumar and his wife, devastated. Kumar has called for stricter regulations and oversight of pet boarding facilities to prevent similar incidents in the future and ensure better care for animals entrusted to such establishments. The case highlights the need for more stringent standards in the pet care industry to protect the welfare of animals.
